While SmartCONNECT
2.0 retains its position as the network’s default prepaid Tariff Plan,
which is also known as service class, after the launching of this new package
Airtel have been looking for a way forward to satisfy its customer. Airtel has
been getting a lot of complaints regarding the new product name SmartCONNECT
2.0. After a series of complaint like:
What Are the Complaint Of Customers About This Package
Ø Customers find it difficult to migrate to the new plan
because they have migrated within the same month, within 30days period it is
not possible to migrate twice. Access fee of 100# is required to migrate within
that period; however, it will be possible if customer intends to wait till
30days after the first migration.
Ø Second challenges is some customers believe that they can
still benefit from the old plan bonus even while on the new plan. And it is not
possible because A is different from B However, they are both alphabets.
Immediately you migrate to this new plan the bonus for the Family and Friends
will be cleared from your line. Then the customer complaints will come up.
Ø The most annoying part that makes customers go crazy is
when a customer who was on the old plan SmartConnet dial the code (*311*1#) to
add the Family and Friends to make use of the huge bonus of FAF the code
instead of adding up the numbers automatically migrate you to the New
plan.
Airtel As Provide a Lasting Solution To The Complaint
A product update has been implemented which allows
only existing prepaid customers on Welcome 2 Airtel to migrate into SmartCONNECT 2.0. In essence, SmartCONNECT 2.0 is restricted to only
the following 2 customer categories:

New prepaid customer –“ by default” This customer are the newly
customers who just sign up to the Airtel line as their right choice. To be
under this category you need to visit the Airtel showroom to buy a new
Sim and activate it.

After
the SIM as been activated your tariff plan or service class will be active and
it will be showing SmartCONNECT 2.0 . Most of our readers will like to know how
to check their respective tariff plan. It is just a simple code to know more
information about your line, kindly dial *121# then follow by option 5 which is
MY ACCOUNT all other options that might be useful will be listed.

Existing customer on Welcome to Airtel line that was a default tariff
plan previously on the network. It is now qualified as an old plan for it as
being re-modify and will only be the beneficiary of SmartCONNECT 2.0 – by
dialling *311# or via texting YES to 311.
Other
prepaid customers will not be able to migrate to SmartCONNECT 2.0,
however, will be offered the TalkMore bundle option via the response
below when attempting to migrate:
“Enjoy 400% Awuf on EVERY RECHARGE OF N200 and above. Load
your account via *126*1*PIN# to enjoy a 400% bonus to make calls to ALL NETWORKS”
